Stacey was part of a groundbreaking initiative often referred to as the Diaper Project in Samoa — a sustainability and humanitarian effort designed to address one of the island nation’s most pressing and overlooked challenges: diaper waste and access to safe, sustainable infant care.
Why This Work Matters
In island nations like Samoa, disposable diapers make up a significant portion of household and landfill waste. With limited waste-management infrastructure, this creates long-term environmental and public health concerns — especially for families with young children.
